What is OHA PAC?

The OHA PAC serves as the unified voice of hospitals in Oklahoma by strategically investing in candidates who support the mission, vision, and values of our members, patients, caregivers, and the communities served. Working together, hospital and health system leaders and employees can help elect lawmakers who will guide policy conversations that advance our values of providing high-quality, affordable health care that positively impacts the health of Oklahomans and Americans.

Why should I contribute?

Legislators are making decisions that have a direct impact on hospitals, and they want and need to hear from you. Unfortunately, we must compete with the voices of others who don’t share our mission, vision, and values. If we don’t amplify hospital voices through OHA PAC, other voices will dominate.

Our unity as a field is the key to making our advocacy successful. We have accomplished much together and our pathway to further success on the advocacy front is our ability to support candidates who share our mission, vision, and values for healthcare. OHA does this through OHA PAC. As a field, we must recognize those who have supported hospitals in the past and have committed to do so in the future. From Medicaid expansion to directed payments that will yield additional support for hospitals, we must respond in appreciation to lawmakers who stood in the gap for OHA members.

Contributing to OHA PAC isn’t just good for our healthcare field, it also comes with recognition on ohapac.com by Club Level (contribution amount) AND on signs at the OHA Connect conference!

Plus: each contribution helps your hospital and system get closer to the 2025 goal of $5 per bed (plus $2,000 for systems) and receiving recognition at OHA Connect.

But wait: OHA PAC presents two awards every year at Connect:

  • Hospital or System that raises the highest amount per capita
  • Hospital or System that raises the most money overall

There’s more: OHA and The American Hospital Association also offers the below incentives for contributors who do not direct their contributions to stay only in Oklahoma.
